Kawa Lodge is small on purpose — small enough that reception knows who you are by your second night.
Our story
We didn't set out to be the biggest guesthouse in Lusaka. We set out to be the one where nothing feels like an afterthought — a bed that's actually comfortable, a bill that actually adds up, and staff who actually remember how you take your tea.
That idea shapes everything, from how rooms are turned over between guests to how your bar tab and room charges land on one folio instead of three.
What we hold to
The rate you see is the rate you pay. No surprise charges waiting at checkout.
A firm bed, hot water, and a quiet room matter more to us than a lobby chandelier.
Small enough that reception knows your name, your room, and how you like your coffee.
Local produce in the kitchen, local staff on the floor, local suppliers wherever we can.
Along the way
Kawa Lodge starts with a handful of rooms and one simple rule: get the basics right first.
A proper kitchen and bar are added, so a stay includes a meal worth staying in for.
Room, bar, and restaurant charges are combined into a single bill for the first time — no more chasing three slips at checkout.
We've grown just enough to stay comfortable, and no further.
The best way to understand Kawa Lodge is to spend a night here.
