1. Acceptance of these terms

By booking a room, checking in, or placing an order at Kawa Lodge ("the lodge"), you agree to these terms. If you book on behalf of a group or company, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for everyone in the party.

2. Bookings and rates

• Rates are quoted in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) and include applicable government taxes unless stated otherwise.
• A booking is confirmed once the lodge issues a confirmation reference, by email, phone, or at reception.
• Published rates can change; the rate confirmed at the time of booking is the rate you pay.
• Room rates cover the room and its stated occupancy only. Meals, bar tabs, laundry and other extras are charged separately to your folio.

3. Check-in and check-out

• Check-in is from 10:00 on your arrival day. Your room is then yours until 09:59 the following morning — that 10:00-to-09:59 window is one lodging day.
• Check-out is at any time that suits you within the lodging days you have paid for. There is no fixed check-out hour and no late check-out charge.
• Arriving before 10:00 is subject to the room being ready; reception will hold your luggage and can usually bring the room forward at no charge.
• A valid form of identification (NRC, passport or driver's licence) is required at check-in for every registered guest.

4. Payment

• Payment is accepted in cash (ZMW), by card, or by approved mobile money or bank transfer.
• Room, bar and restaurant charges are combined onto a single folio, settled at check-out unless another arrangement is agreed in writing.
• Where a deposit is taken, it is applied against the final bill; see the cancellation & refunds page for when deposits are returnable.

5. Guest conduct

• Guests are asked to keep noise to a considerate level after 22:00.
• Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.
• The lodge may refuse or end a stay where a guest's behaviour disturbs other guests, damages property, or is unlawful. In such cases no refund is due for unused nights.
• Visitors to a guest room must be registered at reception and must leave by 22:00.

6. Property and liability

• The lodge takes reasonable care of guests' property but is not an insurer of it. A safe is available at reception for valuables.
• Guests are liable for damage they, their visitors, or their children cause to lodge property, charged at repair or replacement cost.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Zambian law.

7. Dining and bar

• Alcohol is served only to guests aged 18 and over; the lodge may request proof of age.
• The lodge reserves the right to refuse service to any person who is intoxicated.
• Menu items are subject to availability; the kitchen will advise of substitutions before an order is confirmed.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the date of your booking is the version that applies to your stay.
